Smakriket - in the realm of taste
We are tremendously proud of being one of the restaurants to be certified by the Smakriket association for locally produced foods. Our goal is to be one of the very best restaurants in Jämtland, to the point that the restaurant becomes a destination in and of itself.
On the Björknäsgården's menu you will find several dishes with Smakriket's seal. This means that the majority of the ingredients come from local and small-scale productions, such as arctic char, reindeer meat from the Sami villages, cheeses from Skärvången dairy, handmade chocolates with goat's cheese and Fäbod ice cream.
Smakriket is shorthand for taste, locally produced goods, top quality and a clear origin - quite simply the best that Jämtland and Härjedalen small-scale food production has to offer.
Thanks to its emphasis on quality and environmentally friendly production, working to Smakriket's standards is the natural path for us.
The restaurant ensures alternatives are available for guests with lactose intolerance, gluten and other common allergies.
