Fishing

Fishing courses
We work in collaboration with the best local fly fishermen to organise courses in fly fishing for both beginners and others with a little more experience. We fish in the Gimån, which is just around the corner and is one of Sweden's top spots for fly fishing. On the course we will look at tackle and fly fishing technique.
3-hour casting course, SEK 1,200.
Beginner course, 2 days, SEK 4,500, fishing license SEK 500.

"Beginners can be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of new information that will hit them on their first day of fly fishing. We highly recommend a 2-day course to give the new fly fisher the time to absorb and practice what he or she has learnt in our beautiful and inspirational surroundings at Idsjöströmmen."

Lars-Åke is the author of several books on fly fishing and lives for half of the year in Montana and the other half in Sweden where he manages the legendary Idsjöströmmen. For the last 50 years, Lars-Åke's life has revolved around fly fishing. He has also made appearances on hunting and fishing TV shows.

Photography course

We work closely with the Stockholm school of photography to offer you a course in digital photography amid stunning surroundings.
There are four different courses to choose from: beginner, continuation course, nature photography and digital picture processing.
We use digital cameras and the courses focus on the photography action itself. Only in the picture processing course do we look at how to work with pictures after they have been taken. The whole course is spent learning how best to use the camera functions and how to introduce better composition into your pictures.
